IMPORT VOLUME OF ENGLAND CONSTRUCTION SECTOR, ANALYSIS AND FORECASTS FOR THE YEARS OF 2019-2020

The results we can criticise are,

According to seasonally adjusted figures, brick imports decreased by 0.1% in September 2019 compared to September 2018. The monthly change shows an increase of 7.5% in September 2020 Construction Materials Import and Export Construction Materials Export and Import, UK. Value in GBP Monthly Statistics of Building Materials and Components According to the chart,

*Construction materials imports fell 8.5% in the second quarter of 2019, down £408m (£4,411m) from the previous quarter.Exports of construction materials decreased by 6.7% in the second quarter of 2019, down £135m (£1,871m) from the previous quarter.As a result, the trade deficit narrowed by £273m to £2,540m, down 9.7% in Q2 2019.

1st Quarter 1984 Between 2nd Quarter 2019, imports of construction materials increased by 3.8% on average (per quarter). During the same period, exports increased by an average of 2.1% per quarter.The trade deficit was at its historical lowest level throughout the 1990s, and the average £0.3 billion during this period. This trade deficit was 24% of the import value. As of Q2 2019, the trade deficit is £2,540m, or 58% of import value.
